Product Overview
 
Keeping the general tendency in view and having done an extensive survey on our very own educational system functioning, we have developed an integrated and efficient system that can take care of all the functional as well as administrative aspects of an educational institution. Special emphasis has been given on parents and teachers interaction whereby teachers can update Parents over their wards performance and parents can give their comments on the same.
 


Functionality

The system is proposed to be generic and configurable at all levels, requiring least effort with maximum user satisfaction. It is divided in 11 standard modules.
 

1. Student Metadata
 
  The Student module will handle all information's related to students as well as various other activities. By logging with his name and password he can view his details as mentioned below.
 
Project
    Students, particularly of final year will find it very helpful in deciding their projects. Search facility has been provided by which they can search and refer the previous  year projects. 
Result
    Here one will see the results of a particular exam held such as half yearly, quarterly annual.
Comment
    A student can see the comments given on his /her performance by a particular teacher as well as his/her parent.
Alumni
    This page will display the information of the old students of the institution with their address and occupation.
Time-Table
    Time-table of the daily class and examination can be viewed here by the students. 
Careers
    Here information about careers, scope in different fields after the school /college can be known.
Papers
    The student can get the sample paper pertaining to particular exam or tests which will be posted by the relevant teacher.
Library  Info
Students can view the details of the books, author, publication availability, etc.
Online Test
    Students can take online test which can be based on course structure or general knowledge.
Overall Due
    Students can see their account details such as tuition fee, due amount, due date, etc.
   

 
2. Employee
 
  Employee module will take  care of all the personal as well as professional information of an employee (teachers and other staffs) namely :       

Detailed personal information, performance appraisal, salary structure, incentives offered etc. Also teachers can handle different parts involving student's information. The sub parts of this module are
 
General Information
    Teachers can view their details such as their name, date of birth salary structure, subjects taught, and previous experience if any.    
Report Card
    Teacher will post the marks sheet of a particular student which in turn will be seen by that student.
Exam Plan
    Exam schedule will be given by the teacher to be viewed by the student on the student's page.
Time- Table
Timetable of the daily class and examination will be detailed here for the students.
Attendance
    Monthly  attendance of each and every student will be entered on this page which in turn can be viewed by the respective students.
Comment
    Teacher can post his comment on a particular student to be viewed by the student as well as his/her parents.
Internal Result
    Marks of Internal test can be detailed here by the concerned teacher for each and every student.
View Comment
    Teachers can view the comments given by a particular parent for his/her ward.   
Online Test
    Teacher will post the questions for the online test which in turn can be taken by a student.
   

 
3. Parents
 
  Parent module will handle the information of the student to be viewed by his./her parents. Parent will login through his password to get the information as detailed below
 
General Information
Parent can see the particulars of their wards.
Result
The results of a particular exam of a students can be seen by his/her parents.
performance
    Parents can see their ward's performance in various fields, such as academics, sports, extra curricular activities.
Internal Result
Internal Test Results can be directly viewed by parents from here.
Comment
A parent can post any comment on the child's performance to a particular teacher.
Overall Dues
    Parents can see their wards account details such as tuition fee, due amount, due date, etc.
   

 
4. Accounts
 
  The account module will handle all account's related information like student's fee details, employee salary details, administrative expenditure's donations and other grants etc. The categories under this are:
 
Employee Salary
    This will handle the detailed account information of each and every employee such as his pay scale, his P.F, T.A, D.A, etc.
Employee Information
The accountant can see the employee's details pertaining to his account (salary).
Student Account
    Accountant can keep the student account updated such as his college fee, dues, etc.
New Employee
    This will handle new employee entry. The account details of the employees appointed newly will be entered here.
Annual Budget
    This will take care of all the college related account information such as, administrative expenditure, donations and other grants, etc.
Salary Structure
Salary structure can be kept updated for every employee.
Pay Slip Generation
    Employee pay slip can be generated which in turn can be printed and given to the particular employee.
No Dues
    No dues can be issued to any student for exam hall ticket or for any purpose.
   

 
5. Library
 
  The Library module will take care of the detail information of books available in the library categorized under different sections. It will also handle daily transaction of books as well as methodological inventory management. The sub menus are as  mentioned below
 
Add new Book
Here the librarian will update the book information by logging in to the page.
Book Issuing
    Librarian will keep the detail information about the book issued, the borrowers name, class, book name, author publication, date of issue and the date on which the book is to be returned.
Book  Returning
    Here all the above information will be entered with the date on which the book has been returned.
Defaulter
    This page will show the detail information of defaulters who failed to return the book on time, their appropriate fine which will be calculated automatically.
Inventory
Here the detail information will be there of all the book available in the library.
   

 
6. Administrative Component
 
  This component provides admin related facilities, whereby an admin can view as well as modify the underlying database structure. He can modify an existing table structure by inserting new records, deleting records, modify an existing column, insert new column. If needed he can also create new tables and can delete existing one.
   

 
7. E-mail
 
  It's an internal mailing system would provides platform to the various entities concerned to communicate freely. One can send or receive email, specially teachers and parents can communicate personally. All the institution activities taking place can be automatically mailed to the parents.
   

 
8. Admission
 
  Admission module will handle the detailed admission procedure admission date, fee structure, last date for form submission. The selected candidates list can be viewed. Institution bulletin can also be seen. The categories under this are :
Admission Bulletin
    It will handle the admission related information such as admission dates for different courses, requirements, fees, etc.
Fee Structure
Detailed fee structure for all the courses available in the Institution can be viewed.
Curriculum
    This will display the courses available in the college, their detailed course structure.
Admission Form
    You can fill up the online admission form or can download and manually fill up and submit it.
Status
    This will handle the admission status. One can view his/her admission details such as written test interview dates, etc.
   

 
9. Hostel Management
 
  This will handle all the hostel related information such as, detailed mess charges of each and every student, hostel fees, etc.
Hostel Allotment
This will handle the hostel allotment procedure.
Mess Charges
    Mess charges of each and every student will be entered such as previous month's charge, total amount paid, due amount, etc.
Defaulters
    This will show the detail information of the defaulters who failed to pay their mess, hostel charges on time.
No Dues
No dues can be issued to the students directly from here.
   

 
10.  Placement
 
  This module will handle all the placement related information. The sub categories under this are as under.
 
Bulletin
    This will give the placement related information such as past record of all the placements taken place, etc.
Recruitment
    Recruitment details such as companies visiting, interview dates, their requirements, etc, can be viewed here.
Recruitment Tips
    One can get tips on recruitment. Detailed information for preparing for interviews, reference materials, etc, will be give here.
   

 
11.  About us
 
  This will handle all the institution related information such as, fee structure, admission procedure & form, placement, curriculum, bulletin, etc. The sub categories are.
Infrastructure
This will give the information regarding institutions infrastructure, its campus, etc.
Brief History
College brief history can be read by the visitors.
Faculty
    Details information of the institution faculty, subjects taught by them,  classes attending,  etc can be viewed here.
Bulletin
    Institution bulletin containing information about different activities taking place such as some special function, institution news, etc.
Placement
    This will contain the detail information regarding placement cell. It will give the list of the various students placed in different companies.
Magazine
College magazine will be available for online reading.
